Get to Know Dr. McShane
Dr. Christina McShane received her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for Psychological Sciences in Arlington, VA and her Bachelors Degrees in Communication Arts and Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Her training has included special emphasis on the integration of Psychology and Theology. She currently provides therapy and assessment to adults and families at a private group practice in Tempe, Arizona and is the Director of Psychological Services at Nazareth Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona.
Christina has experience working with children, adolescents, families, adults and groups. She works with a variety of issues including but not limited to depression, attachment, anxiety, trauma, life-transitions, relationship struggles, burnout, identity issues, grief, parenting and family issues, and faith/spiritual issues.
In addition to her clinical work, Christina has a background in both ministry and organizational consulting and coaching. She is particularly interested in building a healthier and more human culture in the Church and enjoys offering consultation for leaders, priests, religious, and spiritual directors. Creating collaborative and supportive spaces and places where people can develop their gifts, skills and personal mission brings her great joy.
